Take advantage of opportunities to hear candidates

With more than 60 candidates contesting some two dozen races in Whitfield and Murray counties on the May 24 general primary and nonpartisan election ballot, it’s going to be tough for voters to really get to know each of the candidates.

But candidate forums offer a very good opportunity to see the candidates speak and to ask them questions.

The Dalton State College Republicans announced their presence in a big way Wednesday evening by hosting a forum for candidates for the Whitfield County Board of Commissioners and Murray County sole commissioner at the Whitfield GOP headquarters.
